MONTREAL’s premiere fried chicken
and champagne restaurant

BRANDING, VISUAL IDENTITY & WEBSITE

Boss lady Kimberly Lallouz of Miss Prêt à Manger catering, Restobar Monsieur and Resto du MAC, needed help branding her latest venture, Le Bird Bar - a fried chicken and champagne restaurant with a hidden speakeasy, Henden. The end result, a battle-ready logo and a visual identity that complements the stunning interior.

To ensure a cohesive brand experience across all mediums, design elements such as the unique marble bar, colour accents and brass finishes were incorporated into the design of all brand elements, from business cards to website design.

BUSINESS CARDS

28 pt soft touch heavy stock, with gold foil stamped logo and matching edges; these business cards are as luxurious as they get and embody Le Bird Bar’s dining experience through quality and texture.

BRAND IMPLEMENTATION

To further reinforce its identity and build consumer trust, Le Bird Bar’s visual branding was consistently applied across a range of mediums including matches, menus and takeout boxes. Colouring placemats with an army of chicks were made for the kids, complete with puzzles and games.

WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Le Bird Bar’s website pushes the bounds of web design and development to create a dynamic user experience.

From the long marble bar used as the background image, to the blumine-colour of the velvet bench used as an accent colour, the user interface pulls its inspiration from the restaurant’s interior design.

DYNAMIC USER EXPERIENCE

To showcase its menu, images of mouth-watering dishes slide in to build the page as the user scrolls down, as if being served; making this a very challenging project to work on while on an empty stomach. All photos were taken in-house by Allison Slattery.

To mimic the speakeasy experience hidden in the basement of the restaurant, users can discover Henden’s photo gallery buried under a trail of dishes at the end of the site.

MOBILE RESPONSIVE AND
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZED

The website is fully cross-browser compatible, mobile-responsive and optimized for SEO. Bookenda was also integrated to facilitate reservations and content could be edited with a minimum of technical knowledge by using ROYALTRI’s custom content management system (CMS).
